I've been dragging all morning. It's afternoon now, and I still don't have much oomph. But days like today are good for curling up with cozy books like Redwall and Mossflower. I don't know how many times I've read them, but something about the series is relaxing.
Wanders off with the one of the books and finds a comfy nook in the dragon cave not already crowded by sprites.

If you're looking for something "new" in the fantasy realm to read, you should check the "Guardians of the Flame" series by Joel Rosenberg. The first, "The Sleeping Dragon" was published in 1983, and the series has 10 books. Pretty quick reads. Baen published the first seven in three omnibus versions a few years ago ("Guardians of the Flame," "Guardians of the Flame: Legacy," & "Guardians of the Flame: To Home and Ehvenor") He has other sci-fi/fantasy books, as well as two that are kind of murder-mystery type of things, but still amazing reads. 24 total books for you to read. Sadly, Joel passed away two weeks ago. I had the pleasure of conversing with him on occasion, even though I never had the chance to meet him in person. He was a great friend, and mentor. He's the guy who inspired me to be a writer.
Sorry that was so long, but he was a great writer, whom I obviously adore.
Go right ahead. I don't mind book recommendations. I don't always get around to reading them, as evidenced by the size of my to-read list on Goodreads, but I love getting getting to know other authors. Maybe sometime you could share your experience of meeting him and his influence on you as a guest post. He sounds like he'd been a really neat guy.
